TF2 question. 2009-08-31 20:26:15

Hi, I'm considering buying Team Fortress 2, but I need to know something. Does it have a Rank/point system? just wondering.

Well it has a point system, but it's only for the current game you're playing. That means that once you switch to another lobby and host, those points are gone.

To say there is no leader board is slightly misleading. There are plenty of third-party supported tournament leagues out there you can enter (with a team of course) and track your progress in, many with the ability to earn real life prizes. (PC ONLY)

That said, TF2 does not have a rankings board

just find a server you like and play in it regularly. It might have a ranking system in place but they don't mean anything more than how long you spend your time in that server.

Ranks should be based on points per death instead of overall points.
