For the purpose of this random question, let's say it's set at $1 per10XP.

Personally, I would only really consider it if I'd gotten royally bored of my current level icon, and it would otherwise take months to get rid of it and level up. It IS free to get at a rate of 10 a day, after all.

What about you? Would you think it's a stupid idea, or one worth using?

No, I'm not saying this should be done, nor am I expecting anything to happen along these lines. I'm just randomly playing with an idea I had, and decided to share it and see what everyone else's opinion is.

How could you blame them? The thread title says "buy XP", so when they opened up the thread, they were highly disappointed. Only then when you've read the thread does it make sense. At the same time though, I'd be confused since I don't think Microsoft sells XP on the market anymore.

How is this making me look stupid? I have the common sense to know whether or not that this thread was about "Windows XP"; all I was doing was implying the simple fact that thread titles can be misleading and I'm not trying to drive it into your heads. It's just I think there was enough room to add in that one extra "E" before "XP" so that it made more fucking sense before I'd open a thread. Otherwise all you're doing is grabbing attention from users with a mislead that's all your own, or you just did it on purpose for attention.

True, but it's hardly an achievement to click 5 random buttons a day (it takes like 30 seconds). Right now all your XP shows is how long you've been active for.

It would be good if it was possible to lose XP by being stupid with random voting, as that would force people to think about what they're doing with their votes (i.e. not voting 5 on everything, or just voting on the same 5 things every day for years) and as a result your level would mean a lot more. However, such is not likely to ever be the case, so meh.

Go back and read what you wrote.
