Lbot?

I just received a private message from Lbot (I've never heard of this bot before) and it asked for personal information. Is this a NG bot or is it spam?

There have been some lame phishing attempts such as that recently. The real bots are listed here:

P-Bot - Picks the daily Flash Portal winners and announces them on the front page every day, and removes unworthy submissions from the site with his BLAM cannon.
A-Bot - Sorts and ranks Audio files submitted to the Audio Portal, and picks and highlights weekly winners.
G-Bot - Creates, validates, and ranks user accounts.
M-Bot - Assists site moderators by notifying users of bans and removals regarding forum posts and submission reviews.
I-Bot - Helps users filter and sort Art Portal submissions, and picks each day's winning works of art.

anyone asking for personal information is spam. There's no reason for anyone to ask for it.

No, pay attention to things like this, report the user for spam so others don't fall for the traps and get phished, hacked or their id stolen.

NG bots have a '-' on their name. E.g: P-Bot, M-Bot...

If anyone asks personal information, do not provide them this information, because I'm 100% sure all of them are just trying to scam you.

A note regarding the LBot account; they posted their password in general so I logged in, changed the password and de-activated the account. If anyone falls for this then the passwords will be safe, not that much of an issue.
