Are vampires real? Who gives a damn about vampires?
I mean, I never cared much for the Victorian style romanticism that follows vampires so much. It's like "Hey i'm supposed to be scary but I only get that way way later", and I guess it's kinda scary to find out that the nice gentleman you befriended turned out to actually just want to suck on your juicy neck, but it just doesn't scream "terrifying" to me.
Modern day vampires are worse, since a majority of them are "psychic" vampires (read: idiots) who "feed off the auras of others". I can't even begin to describe how much typing that out almost made me retch. Basically, I'm pretty sure that if vampires were real and lived to this day, they'd stay far away from these assholes who pretend they're vampires so that they can feel speshul and kewl.
Now werewolves, on the other hand, have everything going for them. When the moon is full (or whenever night rolls around, depending on whatever account you go by) they turn into bloodthirsty beasts that completely shred anything and everything in their path, all in a feral rage.
What's even better is when a werewolf in question is able to control their minds when they revert (a fairly difficult thing to do, since a lot of stories on the subject make it clear that more than half of all freshly converted werewolves go insane after the first transformation).
Of course, when I say "werewolf", I'm talking about the classic, none of this lycan/worgen bullshit, just good ol' tear your face off werewolves.
