Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump has been released on a $15,000 bail after being arrested for driving without a valid license.
A warrant was issued in a West Hollywood court for the singer's arrest on Tuesday night when he was found to have been driving with an Illinois license. In California, it is a misdemeanour offence to drive without a valid state license and is punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Stump told MTV News: "All I really have to say is ignorance of the law isn't innocence. I didn't want to give up my Illinois driver's license and was unaware that was a crime. It is, by the way, in the state of California. Lesson learned. I technically broke a law, so technically I deserve whatever I get. But man, is my mom gonna be pissed."
