People like this guy only follow those events because they are the "hip" counter-stories. These guys dont actually give a shit about the people dying, or the events, and they certainly wont give money or do anything about it,
I have donated at least $1500 to various charities over the past 3 years. I have signed up to join Peace Corps before college. Maybe you should stop making broad generalizations before being a complete dick.
especially stop using their iphones,
<---does not own an iPhone
get off their fat fucking asses
<----is not fat
and get out of their ridiculously expensive houses
<----lives in a mediocre house with 3 people
but they will bitch about how everything is so unfair to other people and that they arent materialistic at all and theyre the good guys.
I never said I was the good guy. I never said I wasn't materialistic. It's only human to have flaws you stupid cunt.
Over half of them probably cant locate Darfur on a map, when pressed.
Because locating a region in Sudan is directly proportional to thinking that every human life should be valued and country of origin has nothing to do with the value of a human life. Yes I can locate Darfur.
If you must know the truth back when I was dirt fucking poor growing up and my friends were starving to death in Russian ghettos (which were infinitely worse than just about any ghetto in the United States, an endless barage of poverty, starvation, and crime), all I wanted was just an ounce of care or help. Many of my friends died in Russia. And they were just fucking kids, they didn't deserve it. Now that I'm better off and living a moderately good life I can't help but feel empathy for those in, or worse off than, my former predicament. And since I'm able to help I figured I might as well, so I signed up for Peace Corps.
Don't generalize. Mkay?
