*official Gcse Results '09 Thread*

Official because I say so.

I thought instead of just posting results when we get them, we could have a bit of a pre-results and post-results discussion. For many people results come tomorrow. Other people may have got theirs but for the majority of the country, GCSE results come tomorrow. So, take this time to kind of reflect on the time you spent studying, how you found the tests and even take a shot at predicting your grades.

I, for one, didn't revise nearly as much as I should have. I'm kind of disappointed in myself but there's nothing more I can do now. I'm hoping that I get the 5 B's I need to get into college, then I don't have to worry anymore. I'll hopefully be studying Physics, Maths, Computing and another one which I haven't decided.

My predictions:
Music: A
Food Tech: A
ICT: A (I already know this one. No test involved)
Maths: B/A
English: A
Science: I don't think I want to predict this one, I'm kind of scared of it. Anything better than a C would be nice.
German: C
French: Below C
RE: C

Ooooo, I'm getting two of my GCSE's tomorrow as I haven't finished the whole course yet.

Still it will be nice to see how i did in the three sciences and English.

Well, if I'm honest, I did want to make the thread but like most people, they're all fretting tonight because they get them tomorrow. I was just wondering how people felt beforehand compared to how they feel after. I assume many people worry loads and end up feeling rather pleased afterwards.

However, I'm pretty damn sure I'm not going to end up with most of them.
I'm WAY behind in I.T, I'm not too sure why they predicted an A for me in french as I've never been very good at it, and I'll be lucky with a C.
I need to do quite a bit more english coursework, everything but my essays are good, so I'm probably aiming for a B.

I think thats all I've done..? Yeah, I was a total nerd up until year 10 when I gave up all hope of doing anything in life. But I'm on my way to get the results so, hopefully I'll do better than I expected and have a moment of surprise.

Well I'm just moving into year 10 after the hols, but I started science GCSEs a year early. I\'m on holiday atm, so I don't know all my results for them, but I know I got full marks on the pre-release paper, one of my buddies told me over MSN (teacher told her).

So I'm pretty pleased so far.
