It's like he was born for it.

Its all Depp, the way I see it. But this is the first time I've heard of Tim Burton directing an Alice in Wondrland movie 0.o

Definitely Depp, but i can see how you got Elijah out of it.
Love Alice in Wonderland, and i think Tim Burton will do an amazing job on it, he did direct Edward Scissorhand's after all!
.Learn by heart the greater part of them, lest they be altered.
From the trailer it looks pretty good, but I don't think the mad hatter played much in the whole story.
You know what would be really neat? These things actually being noticeable.

According to imdb.com, Alan Rickman is playing the Caterpillar.
For those who don't know Alan Rickman, he's the guy who played Snape in the Harry Potter series.
If I look at it for 2 minutes or so I start to see Depp, but yeah he does look really weird.
I heard about the movie on the radio, and just naturally assumed that Depp and Helena were going to star in it, since they are in everything Burton has made.
However, when I saw that poster in a theater and didn't see Depp's name anywhere on it, I figured he wasn't going to star in it.
I mean, Depp is such a big-name, mainstream star after the Pirates movies that the Alice in Wonderland Producers would promote the hell out of his presence in their movie in order to draw a bigger crowd. The fact that his name didn't appear anywhere on the poster leads me to believe that he is not in it - and I disagree that the Mad Hatter is Depp - there is a similarity, but I don't think it's him.
