Uncharted 2 is more of the action flick, Indiana Jones-type story, while Metal Gear Solid is a more of a heady experience.

I've also spent significantly more time with Borderlands. Uncharted 2 isn't worth buying to be honest.

Of course, Borderlands is an open-world game, so it has a lot more to do and a lot more traveling than Uncharted 2. It also has a leveling system, so you're going for the grind to level up your character. That's like comparing World of Warcraft to God of War.
