Thoughts on 2012

If you came in here not expecting this topic was about the FILM 2012 then please leave now.

Now this is being directed by the director of personal favorites such as Independence Day and The Day After Tommorow which I fucking loved means that this film might have a chance as far as special effects go as well as a perfect imagining of 2012 into a feature film but my main concern is that Roland Emmerich was known to make some inaccurate scientific research while making movies (a huge example being The Day After Tomorrow) and that the trailer states that in order to ensure the continuity of the Human Race being via ships in the air when in this case would be unlikely to make such a breakthrough in real life before 2012.

I really hope this issue that was in The Day After Tomorrow will be fixed in 2012 (I am aware there was another version mainly taking place in Miami being turned into the next Antarctica that was much more clear in terms of research).

TL;DR: I think this film might have a chance like TDAT and Independence Day and not turn out like that Godzilla movie that he directed as well.

It seems like it will be high CG destruction sequences. It will suck. I liked "The Day After Tomorrow" but I just don't think that this will be as good.

It seems okay. I don't really believe they can show the events that will actually happen on that date. But, it should a nice try.

Like I said before, the 3D effects were terribly blended into the live action. I for one want to go see it since it looks like it will be hilarious to watch.

I was watching tv one day when i saw that a preview for it was about to come on and i thought ok this should be good. But what i saw was just a bunch of screaming, a car driving scene, and an airplane flying threw a bunch of destroyed buildings. From what i saw it didn't look awful just not good.
