Murder Cancels Reality Show

My fellow Newgrounders, here is a bit of sad news that I'm sure personally affects all of us. The VH1 show Megan Wants a Millionaire, a show that chronicled Megan Hauserman's quest to find a millionaire that is deserving to call her his trophy wife, has been canceled. The events surrounding the cancellation of this televised masterpiece are quite shocking.

Shortly after the show finished shooting, one of the finalists, Ryan Jenkins, met Jasmine Fiore, a former swimsuit model. Two days later, they married. Shortly afterwards, Ryan left to Mexico for the filming of I love Money 3, a show where VH1 reality stars compete for money against one another.

On August 15, Jasmine Fiore was found dead. She had been beaten and strangled, had her teeth pulled out, and was folded naked into a suitcase. That suitcase was found in a dumpster in southern California. Ryan Jenkins has had a past with violence (assaulted one of his former girlfriends) and has now fled the country. He is either in Canada, his home country, or Honduras where his father worked previously as an architect. Honduras extradites criminals back to their home country (Canada) and Canada extradites criminals to the USA usually only if we agree not to use the death penalty.

What does this all mean to us? Well, it means Megan Wants a Millionaire is canceled. In all likelihood, I Love Money 3 will follow suit, and it hasn't even started airing yet. I really wish VH1 would make a stand for what's right. They've never let a bit of sleaziness get in their way of providing wholesome entertainment. The fact that he's almost certainly a murderer doesn't detract from the fact that it's hilarious to see Megan take advantage of him.

A sad day indeed. At least Tool Academy 2 starts next Sunday.

Yeah, the agency that conducted the background checks apologized and *promised* to do a better job in the future. It's really strange that the first show that something like this happened on was one where everyone on the show was a millionaire, and presumably more upstanding. Considering all of the ghettofabulous people VH1 has on other shows, I would have expected it from one of those.

Yes, the guy is a freak and I'm sorry she got murdered, but they married after knowing one another for TWO DAYS. That was just stupid.

Megan should be thanking the deity of her choice that wasn't her in the suitcase.
