I saw the trailer for that, and I nearly shat in my seat. Movies just keep getting worse and worse. It's not enough that most popular movies are either sequels, prequels, adaptations from a book, tv series, or comic book, or a remake, but now we have to watch Korean based little kid anime on the big screen make it big? Katara, played by Nicola Peltz.

Sokka played by Jackson Rathbone, aka Twilight costar.

Zuko played by Dev Patel, or the dude from Slumdog Millionaire.

And Iroh, being played by the rather creepy-looking, and way too skinny, Shaun Taub.

Someone fucked up during casting big time. The kid who plays Aang looks okay, but everyone else...

Blame on the lack of ideas the studios are suffering, sure we NGers can bring any guy from the streets and he will do a masterpiece.
I gave up on Hollywood ages ago, and now most of the movies I see are Korean, Australian, European, Brazilian or Japanese.
Because of that I realized the amount of movies I believed American were from another countries("Shall we dance?" is Japanese, The Lion King is a copy of Kimba by Osamu Tezuka, and the list goes on)
So When I see a movie that has a good script, I begin to distrust and become dissappointed when I find that the original is way, way better.

Exactly. I was quite pissed when I found out. I don't know what they're thinking. The story is incredible, especially considering it's a Nickelodeon cartoon. There's tons of potenial for a great movie, but they're fucking it up already.
