Why it was chosen: This song has a lot of angry, badass potential. That bass sample is out of this world! The chorus-like parts are extremely catchy and well-written.
How it can improve: It's a bit repetitive, and could use some variety. Try adding different effects to your main bass line and perhaps some more areas similar to the beginning.
Why it was chosen: Catchy, in your face, and well mixed. The effects in this song are really quite good.
How it can improve: From the length of the demo, I can't really give much improvement, but if you keep the style and pace up, this song will end up being pure awesome.
Trance
Why it was chosen: One of the few trance songs with a memorable melody. Excellent choice of synths.
How it can improve: The kickdrum is a bit too punchy for my tastes. Also, the mixing of the low end could use some work. A nice buildup should do this song wonders.
Why it was chosen: A nice, soothing melody. Fairly well-mixed.
How it can improve: There is a bit of peaking that is being cutoff by your compressor. As a result, it's making some synths sound "smooshed." Try to reconfigure the volumes to mix better.
Why it was chosen: The melody at the end is extremely catchy. The overall mix is fairly well put together.
How it can improve: Some of the synths in the melody at the end could use better panning and some nice effects (Delay, Reeverb, etc.)
Why it was chosen: Out of all the trance submissions, this and "MrMilkCarton's" submission felt most closely related to mainstream trance. And Nick said trance was big genre, so this is in.
How it can improve: There are a couple problems with the mix (no real bass presence, and the kick is overpowering the other instruments)
Why it was chosen: A very unique blend of jazz and electronic. Very professional feel.
How it can improve: As with the previous track, there are some mixing issues. It seems the upper end could use a slight boost.
Dance
Why it was chosen: The sound is pretty awesome in regards to a blend of hardcore and videogame, and the melody is killer catchy.
How it can improve: I feel like a broken record, but the bass seems just a BIT too loud.
Why it was chosen: It has the generic, mainstream dance feel (which is actually quite an accomplishment.) Awesome progression.
How it can improve: A personal preference would be to add vocals to this song, but that's really on an entirely different level.
Techno
Why it was chosen: The album needs some varying, and while your song fits that need, it also has an extremely unique ambient feel that could make for complex cinematic score.
How it can improve: The vocals don't really fit here, especially with the auto-tune. The melody, however, fits quite well.
Why it was chosen: Of all the tracks, this one had by far the best mixing (for vocal and non-vocal instruments.)
How it can improve: The melody feels a bit dry, perhaps with a counter melody (vocals) it would be a bit more alive.
House
Why it was chosen: Of all the house tracks, this one had the best "feel" with the four to the floor. The synth melodies sound promising as well.
How it can improve: The sample is quite repetitive and unchanging, which can be good in certain circumstances. Here, however, it feels very tiring. Varying the song will help tremendously.
Why it was chosen: The melody here is quite catchy, and the vocals are fairly well mixed with the synths.
How it can improve: The vocals here feel a bit 'odd' for the type of song. They could use more room to match the effect the synths are goind for.
Miscellaneous
Why it was chosen: An extremely good, soothing mix here. I like the use of instruments and an almost drum and bass feel.
How it can improve: The 'faster' sections seem a bit too rushed. Perhaps sticking with less frantic drum patterns would be compliment the melodies.
