They said you can USE the soundtrack not SELL the soundtrack. I'm sure they don't mind people using it in Machinamas of HALO but if I doubt a remix which would make money is going to slide.

Well ihave made remix of halo 3 but spoken to Martin him self he told me that release track you cant duo copyright law, also Records who holding the matrials would suit me if itryed., Even if Martin have said yes to you witch is mostly he wouldent. But you are allowed to remix use the soundtrack to ur podcasts radios so long you dont earn money on it. So there is no free stuff always have to speak to owner and records who holding the song.

It's actually a colleague of mine who will be having the most input on what get's on. He does a lot of producing and knows what will sell and what won't.

But to be fair, Whittaker, it sounds like a redone version of your first demo submission. You should go back to the first demo you submitted, edit that and update it with the new track, and delete your /second/ submission. Only the first link counts as an EP demo submission & only the first link will be reviewed at the end of the contest. Maybe you might think that uploading it a second time will get more attention, but really it just means that only the crappier version of your demo track is eligible for judging.

And how would I go about doing that? Not everyone is a newground wiz, you know. I love how everyone on this forum just naturally assume everyone else is fully aware of all the features that come with NG.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't even justify a response, but I wasn't calling him an attention whore. It was a "maybe" statement & a general "you," it was a reasonable assumption that people post things twice to get more feedback or replies-- what if I had said "feedback" instead of "attention?" would it have sounded so offensive?-- and arguing semantics on the Internet is like pulling teeth.

I was attempting to be helpful to suggest editing instead of just going RAWR YOU SUBMITTED TWICE, YOU HEATHEN. For the sake of this thread, I'll be a good little vocalist & sit back/stop commenting, but for chrissakes, people, don't take things personally. This is about the music, and that's all that matters to me.
