Every time I join an server, either Team Fortress crashes, or I get an error message saying "Server is enforcing consistency for this file: particles/water_dfx08.pcf" <==== or something like that. Not sure of the actual one, but you get the picture. What should I do? What DID I do?

delete the file it names. verify file integrity.
Maybe the server hasn't updated yet

happened to me, uninstall and reinstall the game.
