I Leave Today (i'm Really Scared)

Today is my last day before college. Today I have to transfer all my old files onto my laptop, and delete the ones I care the least about.

I have to pack enough clothes I'm going to need for 6 weeks (the rule is don't come home for about 6 weeks).

I'll have to manage getting around my different classes, emailing teachers, registering for different things. I'm not TOO worried about meeting new people, but it will definitely be nerve racking.

I have to say goodbye to my old life. And honest to god, I am scared.

Did anyone feel the same when they left for college?

Change can be good, it was bound to happen that you'd leave home and start life as an independant adult one day, it happens pretty suddenly but in my experience you get nagged about that time by teachers and parents so much that when it actually happens you just sort of go with it.

I don't have to worry about that sorta stuff for another year and a half though so meh

I was pretty nervous when I started last year. It turned out really great though for me. I can't wait to go back at this point.

Obviously a big change like this is a scary thing, but it's inevitable and you have to make the best of it. This is an oppurtunity for you to make yourself into a better person in so many ways, a world of oppurtunities is about to open up to you. Go into it with your head held high and and tap into your self confidence and you'll be just fine.

I was happy to get out. As for clothes for 6 weeks, I highly recommend you learn how to do laundry. Your clothes will take up a lot less space if you do laundry ever week or every week and a half. Take only what you need and you'll have more room for fun stuff.

Anyway, it depends on where you're going. I was more than happy to get out of my house when I went, but I don't know your situation... Best thing is not to be nervous. Everyone is in the same position as you, so its not too bad if you're open.

Me-Patch- yeah I just have to approach it with a positive face, im definitely trying to start off being more outgoing. I've talked to some of my dorm mates online so that's good i guess.

Gum- yeah I should probably get on that laundry.

I'm not in college or university yet, but I can feel your feelings even when I still have years before I go to college (I mean university). But hey, my brother's going to Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

I just arrived at my college a couple of hours ago. Pretty cool. And don't sweat if you forget anything, parent could just send stuff to you or go and buy it at your local walmart.

I'm starting college soon, not really nervous to be honest, I'm glad to get out of school because it sucked alot for me.

Its raining and I am just chilling till the big open lunch at 3:30. Mostly everyone is chilling till then.
