hey. i'm looking for a cheap, loud, good quality amphead. i play mostly death/black/technical metal. i have an ibanez xiphos. i don't care for vox much, as i was borrowing a valvetronix from a friend. i'm more of a bassist than a guitarist so please, bare with me.

yeah. i know. what about the tiny terror. is that any loud? if had it in a head could i get it loud enough to gig?

For $400 for the cab and head. I'm not sure what the singular cost of the head is, but it is pretty cheap. But loud as fuck in this combo.

Eh, I've heard that amp before. It always made my guitar sound kind of wimpy. Also, you should tell us the price range you're looking in.

just buy a line 6 spider easy to use, get good sounds for the price and you have a choice of combo or half stack, 150 watt loud enough for gigs. if you don't want to fork out for the cab i suggest the combo, or buy the head and a cheaper cab marshall 4x12 or something

sorry to bring this up again but my price range is between 400 and 800. i don't much care for fender amps either.

if it's metal you like try behrenger i played one a little while ago there fairly good for that, but i have no idea if they do bass amps or the prices sorry ha ha

Line 6 spider. they're rough;y £250 here in the uk so, that's roughly $400ish

Don't buy Line 6. I bought into that and trust me, I have a bit of regret over it. There's much better quality at the price range you're looking under.

Also I can't really recommend anything either, it's personal preference. Which is why you should find a music shop and try out different amps/amp heads.

This. you can ask people on the internet all day, but you won't KNOW what instrument is right for you until you try it.

And if you don't consider a guitar amplifier an instrument, then why are you bothering to ask.
