SERIOUSLY! wtf do people always kiss the armed forces asses? everywhere i look there is a fucking tribute to the soldiers, care package programs ect. you know that they do recieve paychecks, right? not to mention they have all of their cost of living expenses payed for! now before you just say ''well if you don't appreciate what they're doing then go do it yourself'' stop and think for a minute.....WHAT ARE THEY DOING?!?!?!?! the war has cost over 900 billion so far and iraq only has about 100 billion in estimated oil, there was no wmds, so what is it for? the answer is NOTHING if americans realy gave a shit about national security then they would focus more on the mexican border. By fighting for their country. If there would be a war of any kind, the soldiers would put their life on the line to save your ignorany, rat-ass little butt. They get payed for making sure others don't invade the country in war. And potentially sacrificing yourself for that is quite heroic. Especially concidering that, somehow, they're all already dead in a way. And lives cannot be payed for.

That would mean that soldiers are always underpayed for the battlework they do in wars and any other operations. Also, you should do the training they do on a daily basis for an hour. I'm sure your mind will change just to get you out of there.

If we had a war against North Korea or any other country that would/has threaten to invade our country, than our military would take care of it and save our asses. You can't be blinded by one frivolous war. And you can't be thankful for a war that has served no purpose but some of those soldiers are forced to go and die or go to jail if they refuse to go. It's not like they want to kill innocent people (some actually do though, unfortunately.)

The reason 9/11 was caused was because America decided to start a war (the Gulf War) with Iraq for invading Kuwait for oil. Get your facts straight. If USA kept a low profile, terrorists wouldn't ass themselves to rape USA.

Iran and Kuwait didn't see Saddam as a threat to their security. Iraq was a third world country with close to no industrial infrastructure, and and army decimated from decades of losing wars against its neighbours and the US.

Also, on 9/11. It is well documented, and even acnowledged by the US goverment, that the CIA, with the help of the Pakistani military intelligence agency gathered muslim radicals from Morocco to Indonesia, took them to Afghanistan and trained them to fight the Soviet troops in Afghanistan (insurgency, legal under international law) and on Soviet soil (international terrorism, against international law).

It just so happened, that once you left a bunch of well-trained radicals with contacts across half the globe in one hotspot, they would later turn against the US, which they saw as an imperialist force and a supporter of Israel, a serial offender when it comes to breaking international law.

I don't suport the Taliban or Al Qaida. Matter of fact, on the most part, they'd be my worst enemies, and in many ways, the US is much closer to what I want the world to be, but it doesn't change the fact that the US brought all of it on themselves by playing Risk with the whole world without twice thinking about the consequences and not bothering to clean up any messes they made on the way.
