I'm talking proper 'top level domain' registrar... Is it even possible to start up a new one meaning is anybody wanted a .okk site like something.okk they would have to come to me of the .okk name. I can't really find any information on that kind of thing :[
No, you can't get your own top level domain. There are plans for them to be released in the future - at $100,000 just for the setup - so only big companies will ever have them, however I don't believe these plans will ever get put into action and even if they do they'll hardly be used. If you take a look at everything surrounding .eco, that's been considered for many years now and it's still not available, also .xxx has been requested many many times and repeatedly refused.
Don't even expect to get your own .tld :)
