IMO Having more than one spouse and having sex with more than one woman seems wrong while in a relationship. What's the point in having girlfriends and boyfriends if you want to have sex with multiple people? A typical married man or woman doesn't want a spouse or partner who fucks multiple people (in the US at least 0.o). My girlfriend would dump me in a heartbeat if she found out I was with some other chick. It's betraying your spouse or partner in the way that a relationship was meant between 2 people and no more. It's just my opinion though.

Many people are compatible with many others, people shouldn't have to be limited to one just because society doesn't like it. You have a point. But if my girlfriend was with another guy, I would feel disgusted. I think what caused this cultural "morality" is because of jealousy. It would be like competition of who she loves the most. And I can imagine loving two girls the same, but someone would get upset because you have to spend time with both of them and it would get out of hand. It just wouldn't work in this society.

Jealousy is also natural, but if you were brought up to believe that it was nothing to be jealous about, you wouldn't be nearly as jealous. It would be quite difficult, but I think the option should remain available.
