I wouldn't doubt that that law exists, but, naturally, it's probably never enforced.

Imagine how people would kill eachother if guns were illegal. The problem would be that certain tools would be kept, as they have legitimate uses in commercial fields. The two tools I'm talking about are harpoon guns and flare guns.

Imagine, you're walking down the street with a friend, and a black van pulls up. The door slides open and -foom- a spear is sticking out of your friend. Seconds later, a barrage of flares fires from the van engulfing your friend in flames.

who invented spears, a bad guy or a good guy? spears were used for hunting and self defense, but bag guys used them to kill innicent people. same with guns. if you want to reduce violence in a society, you have to target the root of the problem,bad behavior, not one of the branches.

Has anyone read about those non-lethal weapons the police are developing, like beanbag rounds and net rounds (It's not like the foofy nets that you see in cartoons, imagine a net, with metal weights on the ends of it to make it spread out, shooting out at you at hundreds of miles per hour.)

I was thinking, if we gave our police streetsweepers (automatic shotguns, for those of you who don't play enough video games) with beanbag rounds, we could more than adequately fight crime.

But I guess they would start to lose effect after people started wearing padded clothing and stuff.
