Can I install flash on more than one computer llegally? I bought my copy legit, and its for private home use. Just want to add a copy onto my labtop for convenience.

There is no protection from it as far as i know, but technically by law you are only supposed to use one copy per computer. But nobody really obeys that.

You are legally allowed to install it on two computers, as long as it's not being used on both at the same time.

what about operating systems? My family has one copy of XP, but its on 3 of their computers.

Microsoft does, as far as I know, not offer group/family/multi-user licences for their operating systems so you need a unique licence for each machine.

That statement is just not true, take a look at the EULA (End User License Agreement) and you will understand that it's never so simple.
