Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to the whole flash world as well as the wonderful world of art. I thought I would showcase some of my pieces, get some critique, become a better artist, wash, rinse, repeat. lol

This is a concept design of a character I am designing for a series I am thinking about starting. His name is Munchies. ;)

Or the fact that it is a lazy cat sitting in a blue lazyboyish chair: pic garfield allways sits in a blue chair. But anyways, it looks like a flash I would watch so far.

Yeah, I guess it does have the whole Garfield feel to him. Im sure the concept will morph and mold as I work with his character design and as I think about his personality more. lol

Well, I didn't think about the blue chair. I used to watch Garfield a ton when I was younger, so I don't really remember much other that than he is lazy and likes to eat lazangna. :D

I fooled around with the colors of Munchies, I tried to choose two dullish/darkish colors. Purple, being my favorite color, came to mind as did green with the couch. It kind of gives it a grungy look. Eh, its a WIP. lol

I've been foolin around with different concepts for Munch's best friend. I decided on this one. The contrasting size of the characters is good. Colors are still up in the air. Pretty much everything is at the moment. lol

I call him Calvin, Cal for short?

Anyways, I have been thinking about using a technique used on Chower instead of patterns and shading. I think it could give the whole animation a cool visual style. :D I'm trying to figure out how to do it. lol

Aha! I figured it out. Piece o' cake. lol I think it turned out very well. Concepts are changing. Ideas are stirring. lol

that does make him look like a puppet cat... mybe try actual furr

i really like the contrasting but somehow it makes it blend.
