I think the NFC is just a better conference in general but as far as the individual players go I'll have to go with AFC too.

AFC always beats NFC in the Pro Bowl so i'm goin for AFC.

Actually it's tied with both teams at 20 wins a piece since 1971

The NFC dominated in the 80s & 90s while the AFC dominated the 70s & 00s so it's all in 10 year gaps i was just saying recently which is the past decade.

Even though we won't include this in the final list of wins I still feel obligated to pick a team for some reason. Hmm..

AFC > NFC

Just because.

I'm going with the AFC to win, even though nothing is really on the line except for pride in your own conference. I just hope it doesn't turn into a blowout.

Good thing that the Pro Bowl isn't the last football game of the season, it wasn't that long ago that the Pro Bowl was played after the Super Bowl, and I thought that was stupid, considering every other sport ends its season with the championship game/series.

In all fairness, the AFC side finally did show up to play {on offense, that is}, in the 2nd half, but of course by then, they already digged themselves too deep of a hole to get out of.

Can't believe people actually watch the Pro Bowl, that shit is downright retarded.

I flipped to it to check the score every so often but I wasn't interested in actually watching the game, just curious who was going to win. I've watched two pro bowls entirely in my life and I doubt I'll ever watch a third.

It was okay for what it was, but when I saw the last touchdown play by Alex Mack, it really reminded me what a useless game it really is.

Why Alex Mack was in the Pro Bowl is beyond me, considering he wasn't that great of an offensive lineman. People probably felt sorry for the Browns so much, that they decided that 2 players from the Browns O-line should be Pro Bowlers.

One thing that the MLB all-star game has right is that every team is represented with a player in the all star game, and I believe that the NFL should do this as well. If players from Carolina and Buffalo is on the Pro Bowl, then teams like Cincinnati should have 1 as well. {exceptions would be the Super Bowl teams.}

If the Steeler lose the Super Bowl, this is what might happen. If the Steelers wins however...expect some reviews from certain groups of people.

I would expect the Steeler fanbase to spam that board with 2 bit insults and say that they are the greatest fucking thing that ever happen in the history of football. And I thought the terrible towel was stupid enough as is.

This is why I lol at any type of fanfiction, because you know they have too much time on their hands.

My Superbowl Pick

Green Bay
28-24

Response to American Football Discussion 2011-02-04 23:43:23

I'm going with the Steelers here, because that defense, particularly that front 7 and Polomalu is going to be too much for Aaron Rodgers to handle, considering that I don't see Starks busting out big gains or anything like that against that Steeler D-line. I don't expect Roethlisberger to do very much, aside from making a play here or there, and not turn the ball over, like he seems to do almost every game.

Steelers 24
Packers 13

I don't see this game becoming a shootout, like last time. This might be more of a 9-3 game more than anything else, because those defenses are going to have something to prove from last time they met, that they aren't going to give up 800 yards of offense and over 80 points combined.

I feel a little sick now, that I picked those damned Steelers to win again, oh well.

I'm a Steelers fan but you're giving Polomalu too much credit and Rodgers not enough. The man is a beast.

God I hope the Steelers win though.

I really can't figure out who I think is going to win so I flipped a coin. Here's to a good game and to everyone having fun this weekend.

Steelers

Honestly, the amount of pointless blathering about the Super Bowl in the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl has made me almost not want to watch the Super Bowl. Just play the fucking game, a one-game sporting event does not need this much scrutiny and analysis.

Well I'm enjoying the game so far, Green Bay is kicking some Pittsburgh ass which is exactly what I was hoping for. Although, with that drive the Steelers had just before the half I'm thinking they're going to come back in the second half and make the game much more competitive which should be exciting.
