not really, it was a little creepy, and scared me just about 2 times. the older silent hill games (especially 1) scare the FUCK out of me.
and fear was just plain creepy.
Agreed.
The Scariest game i ever played was (above) silent hill 1. its just so fucking scary, and was extreme in the "Psychological thriller" areas. (not levels, i mean the game itself)

I haven't found any game I've played to be particularly scary but the one that got to me the most was The Suffering. The whole game is really disturbing and there are loads of jumpy moments as well. Also it gives the feeling that the main character is slipping into insanity, which is manifested in lots of horrible ways. It was an experience to say the least.
FEAR made me feel sick.
Although it was the only serious horror game I've played
Why yes, that IS a large collection of 1998 "Smithy's Favourite Times" Licenced Cereal Pop Toys!

Scariest for me must have been a game which was bought for me when I was young. We had just changed computers and a ggame we previously owned didn't work anymore (Alice in Wonderland :L). So, we decided to buy a new Alice in Wonderland game for our new computer, little did we know, it was the gory remake of the game entitled "American McGee's Wonderland". In THIS game Alice is a knife wielding psycho. At my young age I was traumatised lol.

resident evil 2 when it came out
eternal darkness
barbie adventures
tales of symphonia (abyssion was just too bad ass)
if my calculations are correct. When this baby hits 88 miles an hour, your gonna see some serious shit!
Definatly FEAR scared the shit out of me the first time I played it
Ya iT's Cadfad what of it?
Sup, bitches :)
Dead Space, The Suffering series and Resident Evil 4 gave me the chills sometimes.
House of the Dead 2. That was the only game to have scared me to tears.
Though, to be fair, I was 12 when I played it...
When all else fails, blame the casuals!
Ghosts 'n' Goblins
You have to run around with your junk very thinly covered in your underwear running past tons of zombies and demons trying to blast you with fireballs.
Probably Forbidden Siren, I played a demo of it I got in a PS2 magazine when I was about 9-11 years old and it just scared the crap out of me.
If Heavy Metal is so evil, why would God create it? BECAUSE I FUCKING TOLD HIM TO, BITCH!!
I have to admit, Doom 3 scared the pants off of me a couple of times. Just the ways they fucked with the lighting and sounds could really mess you up if you're alone in a dark room.

I love you guys.
Penumbra Overture has got to be the most scary game I've played. I've probably booted it up about five times late at night and decided screw this I'm not playing this game at this time of night because it is so creepy to me (others thing it's lame). It's different from other scary games because you have no weapons to defend yourself and the notes that you find along the way make the game very ominous. It's a steal at the $10 I got it at for the trilogy on steam and I recommend it to anyone who wants a scary game that isn't about shooting zombies and seems to get some inspiration from the adventure genre.

Silent Hill 2, in my opinion not only is it the scariest SH game there is, but it's the scariest game of all time.
those pyramid headed guys scare the shit out of me

Not that many games scare me. Sure, I get a little creeped on games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil, but the one game that put total fucking fear in me would be Dead Space. Holy hell, that game is fucked up.
I dont no why but half life 2 made me jump quite a bit, great game but too long.
Daddy, why doesn't this magnet pick up this floppy disk?

Silent Hill of course, but even better I would say is Fatal Frame!
I don't know how this always happens, but I always end up in Ravenholm around 3 AM...When the house is especially creepy...
