It's not the brand of hot dog itself, but what you do with it, that's my experience. Grill 'em over an open flame, bit of mustard, some ketchup, that's the basic "good" hot dog. Though I heard of one where they fry a piece of bacon in a pan until it's cooked but still a bit soft, then deep-fry a dog and grill a bun over where the bacon was so it absorbs some grease, then wrap the dog in the bacon and put it in the bun. That sounds amazing.
That being said, Ball Park plump up well when you cook 'em, so I'd have to say them as far as the brand.
