Worst Game Developer/Publish er

You know those game delevopers and game publishers that just don't care about the games they make? Well, you can just post them here. I think the worst developer is data design, because their games are unplayable, they make them so stupid, and they use a bunch of stuff from their other games!!!

Yeah, THQ makes nothing but shovelware games. Their previous incarnation Acclaim was just as terrible as well (also see another studio they owned LJN for more really terrible titles).

Someone bought the trademark from them I believe. Acclaim as it was known was absorbed into THQ.

Acclaim is a publisher.
Acclaim Games & Acclaim Entertainment are 2 very different things. One was with THQ in the early 2000's. Acclaim Games is a publisher of Free 2 Play MMO's.

I totally agree.

But you can't ignore the work they're doing with Steam. I mean, they're one of the few companies that's actually pushing the industry forward, by using their download system. How can they be the worst if they're advancing video games as we know them?

Oh come on people, valve is one of the companies who are actually not trying to rip people off pretty honest and fair, did you really thnik they would have so much DLC for left 4 dead, the missions take a while to make. Not to mention all they are adding in 2

And look at team fortress, it is $10, 10 forever, you don't have to pay for it by month or anything.

Half life, even though I don't agree with all the hype its always gotten, it's still pretty good.

Normally I'd go with EA, but they've been doing a little better as of late, so I gotta go with THQ, I don't think THQ has made many if any good games, as far as I know.

What about Neversoft? They started off well with the first few Tony Hawk games but the series has gone downhill severely since Underground 2.
Also they bought Guitar Hero from Harmonix and have released GH3, GH Aerosmith, GH World Tour and GH Metallica. I've never been a fan of Guitar Hero but I know a shitload of people who would say that the series has been crap from GH3 onwards.
I think Neversoft may be owned by Activision, which probably explains a lot.

I'm pissed at Sammy who screwed up Sammy vs. Capcom so much it was cancelled. For those who don't know Sammy is the company that heads the Guilty Gear series along with Arc. But I still love Guilty Gear.

They published Maximum Carnage, which I rather enjoyed. Only problem was that it was balls hard.

They also published X-Men, which I played at day care. They also had Gauntlet 2, and that game saw much more use than X-men.

As much as I´m starting to dislike Nintendo a bit with their "fun for the whole family"-policy, you gotta acknowlegde that they probably made more high-quality games than any other gaming company over the past 30 years.

As for me, EA was the first name that came to mind. I believe they are one of the biggest milkers out there, with the Sims, Fifa, Madden and all those series. I also dislike how they translate most of their games in Dutch. You know how awful that sometimes sounds?

I'd say Wisdom Tree. Back in the eight bit era, it made thes games for the NES. It didn't come with a cartridge, you had to destroy a Super Mario Bros. cartridge to put he chip n to play it. They were all basically Mario mods, and all religous.

Those fuckers are Treyarch, nothing but a bunch of fucking milkers, they have NEVER made any original games, or atleast i'm aware of, all they do is wait for something BIG to hit, particulary a game like Call of Duty, Modern Warfare was a MASSIVE hit and OF COURSE they make a CoD game with the same engine with no god damn changes in it except in gameplay BUT THAT'S IT!

The spider-man games 1 and 2 were awesome, but then they noticed how the sales were and milked the fuck out of it.

Fuck you Treyarch, file for bankruptcy already and stop making mediocre games!
