I've noticed that as hot as the night is, it's much more comfortable without that extra cotton on your feet. The covers are fine, at least for me.
I vote no socks.

I occasionally forget to change before I go to sleep, which doesn't matter because i'll just change/shower in the morning anyway.
Only if it's cold sometimes, but generally no. That feeling of getting your socks off at the end of the day is so satisfying.

My feet are cold WITH socks. I can't stand sleeping without socks, shirt, and pants. I never like to be without socks.

Whenever I wake up I'll see that I've subconsciously taken off my socks in my sleep, so usually I don't to save the hassle of looking for them.
