Well, looks like I did spend a portion of my last day of the summer gaming. Mainly Red Faction Armageddon but I had a game of Black Ops too. Red Faction just isn't doing it for me really. the first game in that series was awesome. Everything after I've found to be pretty naff.

Armageddon wasn't so bad, it just had nothing on Guerrilla, no free roam, shit alien/monsters, guns were a bit more innovative but they still seemed lacking and it was often hard to have 4 guns at once that actually seemed worth having.

The story was also kind of boring but that woman who was your ex or something was pretty hot.

I played Super Mario 64 during my final week away from college. I don't remember if I played it on the last day still at home, since I was either hanging out with friends or packing. Then again, I probably played video games while hanging out with friends, so there you go.

Yeah, I was really disappointed when I realised it wasn't there. I was hoping it would let you free roam after you get to the surface or whatever. Though to be honest free-roaming wouldn't really work because it's all post-apocalyptic and you can't breath outside anymore and shit.

Also would anybody with The Underdome DLC for Borderlands be willing to help me out on the Long Challenges some time in a week or two?

Considering picking up the Dragon Age games since they're pretty cheap on Amazon right now. Origins Ultimate Edition is $27 and Dragon Age 2 is is $20. Then again, Deus Ex: HR is $35, which is good, but I can always wait it out and get it even cheaper later on.

I don't really know much about the Dragon Age games besides the fact that I like Bioware RPGs, and I don't know much about DE:HR besides the fact that it has the same sort of design philosophy towards RPGs. Any opinions on what's the best bet?

I've learned a little bit about sewing, just so I can make companion cube plushies and pillows. Anybody want some?

I got so nervous as soon as I entered that interview room at Gamestation (well it was a staff lounge really), still when they asked me "How do you find out about game news? latest releases? upcoming releases? etc" I was all like "Oh yeah, I well go on Kotaku all the fucking time", not worded like that but I think the fact that I even mentioned a gaming news website will help a fair bit.

If you do get that job, do everything in your power to get me some kind of nation wide GameStation discount. K thnx.

How did you get an interview and job? Simply walked in with your cv and handed it in? I've been thinking about maybe getting a job at GAME or gamestation at some point.

They were hiring I handed my cv in a day before the deadline

When you went to hand in the CV though, how did you go about doing it? Did you browse the store first and then sort of be all like "we'll while I'm here I might as well hand in this CV" or did you just get straight to the point by handing it over and leaving?

I think working in a game store would be pretty cool, although I feel like I know less and less about the current game releases now that I know I'm not going to be able to afford them for a while.

Mini suggested that the GS Leaderboard chat was getting too general, so I pointed them all in this direction. I wasn't expecting people to actually come here, but thankfully it looks like this lounge might now be put to proper use.

this has been here for like 2 years, so that works out to 15 pages a year, or about 1.15 pages a month? and in a day we managed to get through more than an entire page?

Anyone in the PS3 leaderboard might wanna point people in this direction if you feel your leaderboard is getting a little bit too general.
