haha no its not due this weekend that would be crazy, im just finishing off some thing i have to do for the collab, such as make it ready to implement the games and medals for when it is ready to be finished.
There currently is no due date yet but there will be soon when i get some more parts sent to me, when i get about 9 ill set a due date for when the rest need to be due otherwise they can forget about it, the date will be reasonable however. i currently have 1 part.
so right now is get it and nicely as best possible game done as quickly as possible.
Phew, that's good. Still, i'll try to get it designed and send it to kris asap. Heres the menu for it: CLICKKKK. Click the image to see the 600 by 450 pic. I don't think i'm going to make the game this detailed, because it's already over 1 megabyte, and it's only 1 frame. Does anyone have any compression tips/ tips I could use to make it look better?

the size doesnt matter i can already go up to 19MB which is my limit, the collab is overall larger than that then so be it, and 1mb is accually quite small for a menu but that depends if theres bitmaps or not.

I would like to make it detailed, but flash keeps crashing because it's so detailed :C Would you recommend upgrading to a higher version of flash?( I have flash 8)

i use flash 8, flash never chrashes, but it does go pretty slow, hwever on some other computer, its really fast... i think its more your computer...
are you using vista? that slows a lot already... is your ram memory less than 2 gb? will get slower...
less than 512mb? that's not any good then...
mine's is 1 gb, and flash plays something that 30 fps at a 15 fps rate... i always have to upload it somewhere, then close flash, then test it... :(

its always good to have the latest version of flash because they fix problems with flash.
but it depends how good your computer is, if it is an everyday computer it may crash because of your ram but it really does depend, the computer i have it quite lacking in Ram only 2 gb of ram and it does crash sometimes when publishing something big but i still have the swf which was published

Okay, i'll see if I can get a 30-day trail of CS3 from the tutorials section. I have a 4GB ram, but i'm running vista, so that probably takes away a TON of memory. Can I delete Flash 8, then open the .fla file from Flash 8 into CS3? I have to know this, so I don't delete all of my projects that I have made in flash 8. BTW, How many submissions do you have?

I got this ramdom virus from a public computer , never save something from a public computer on ur pen drive! Anyways, so now my computer got infected, AVG searches but doesnt find anything. i can open IE, however when i try to close it, the computer glitches o.O
And from time to time appears this message asking if i was the one who actioned this ramdom program (Windows Vista has actually been proven to be good somehow!)
( i can still use the computer, but its always better to not do too many things while the virus is arround, i already lost all my files cuz of that )
Right now, im posting from another computer and i hope i wont have to format everything. ( probably will just do a system restore and gp back like two days ago, all i will have probably lost in relation to Air Runner will probably be some code for this trap)
But seems like a weak virus, so no need to worry, just to explain if i take a while longer...

OK so i have no idea what AVG is but anyways, from that computer your using now use a 'pendrive' and download mambam aka Malwarebytes Anti-Malware in safe mode on your computer install the program and run a virus scan if you cant find anything youll have to go in normal and do a virus scan that way, you could also always try spybot search and destroy these are the two best programs and IT techys use them and do the method above

well as you should know i havent updated this 'ol list in awhile and i know it says there will be 20 mini-games and from the last 2 collabs that most likely not going to happen it will most likely be about 10 of you that will submit a mini-game and it will dwindle in the next couple of weeks and i will eventually announce a due date.

Ive already discovered a lot bout the virus, it has never been fully activated because it seems like phising or spyware, and the watson client (windows program which report all bugs, which means the virus may be already "dead" but left a bug on the computer, OR the virus is recognised as a simple bug, which is why no antivirus has detected it so far) always blocks the virus by closing the program right away to prevent a DEP ( some kind of lost of data or stolen data stuff... Dont remenber full name now)
But i guess this is good news cuz then i can keep working on air runner, the problem will be uploading the fla, then ill need to have the virus away.

nice, just try and add some variation so for example you go past the first loop you still want to create challange for the player.

Well, something weird happened to it so that it doesnt show up at the right time so that part will be easy now, its ok if that part stays easy right?
Also you know, this isnt supposed to be like a level progressing game, its more of a score one, so i understand i should add more to make it challenging, but ill leave 800 points to be the required to win, so it wont be frustrating, even though youll need like 1400-1800 points until the games loops, ;)

Yes it is to do with programming. Playing a sound with actionscript2. But it is CS4. Any help anyone.

And your game was very good. But make your text larger, and your graphics look good, but they are very loud. Might want to change them. Also add an instructions menu there.

Oh, then I can't help you now, but i'll look it up when Ihave the time :) What do you mean bu loud? Too bright? And I did add one, but i'll make it clearer on how to do things.
