Over 20,000 murders a year. Every time we turn on the news we hear about some child being raped or some person being murdered. Is it just me, or do we show far too much tolerance towards breaking the Law? I believe that all who commit a crime should be executed, we should show absolutely NO TOLERANCE for crime. We should also start educating kids from an early age not to commit crimes. People blame violent TV and video games for this, that is BS. Japan makes all those games, and their murder rate is lower, Canadians own more guns than Americans, and they have less murders, Germany is the center of Goth music, and THEY have less murders. The simple truth is that we should show no tolerance for breaking the law, their should be NO negotians.

As cruel as this sounds, think of it this way, if the penalty for any crime was death, all you would have to do is NOT BREAK THE LAW, that is NOT asking very much.

You, my friend, are what we call a complete moron.

You see capital punishment does not work. It never has worked. If you like compare America with say Canada or Western Europe(where the laws are more focused on rehabilitaion, and less on revenge). You'll see a far lower violent crime rate. The solution is not more bars, walls, prisons, and police. That is reactionary, stupid, and ignorant.

If you want to stop crime you need to fight it's cause. Poverty, hunger, suffering, and misery. This is basic strain theory here. I swear every conservative in America should take an introductory sociology course. Though, they don't really have the intelligence.

I'd also like to note that it's not just the poor who commit crime. The middle class commites relatively little crime, but the upper class comits a great deal of it. Not that we see any of them in jail. No wonder though, they make the rules.

Icewrath, you are aware that crime rates have actually fallen drasictley in the past 5 years? Its the media that are publisizeing the current crimes alot more... with this "if it bleeds it leads" crap.

Also alot of the crimes that do exsist are generally drug related... and even you can accept that drug addicts are not in there right frame of mind when they commit these acts.

Are you also aware of the fact that at least 50% of adults have comitted a crime. How serious would it be to warrent death? Murder, assault, heroin dealing, smoking a joint, speeding?

America simply loves violence. The othe day there was a report how a sixth grader was found dead in a bathroom. He bled to death, and the kid accused is actually a friend. Also, the school was located in a poor sectionof town.
If we lower poverty, you get less people wanting to steal, which might lead to murder, theyre more likely to go to college, and violent crime rates go down since they have less pressure to commit them.

You've all shown good points, but I probably forgot to mention earlier that prevention should also be greatly enforced.

What I was saying earlier is that why would people care if this law was passed? All it would do is to further enforce a zero-tolerance of crime. If they were to protest, what would they say?
"Let us commit crime?"

No, you are an incomplete imbicile. You probably argue that pot should be legal so that selling and smoking drugs won't be a crime anymore.

You see capital punishment does not work. It never has worked. If you like compare America with say Canada or Western Europe(where the laws are more focused on rehabilitaion, and less on revenge). yeah, death does work, because if you're dead, you don't rape and kill no more... it's the cure for all criminals. Europeans EAT people and play with doodoo.... I think that should be a crime. Criminals are sucking up tax money that could go into education... so if we blow up all the prisons with like a nuclear bomb... then we'd DRAMATICALLY drop crimes and criminals of the world.

Rehab doesn't work... ask Judd Nelson or Darryl Strawberry... they should be all anihilated like communist china. OR if not, their organs sold to good law abiding people.

Canadians are too lazy to commit crime, so they are good.

If you want to stop crime you need to fight it's cause. Poverty, hunger, suffering, and misery. This is basic strain theory here. I swear every conservative in America should take an introductory sociology course. Though, they don't really have the intelligence.

Nope it doesn't work. You fight crime with greater crime... the death penalty... that's how you stop people from commmitting more crime... look at Saudi Arabia... if you get caught stealling they chop your hands off... you ain't going to steal no more. Also, if a women is caught cheating they are hung in the village square... that's how you stop cheating women. US should adopt similar laws like Saudi Arabia.

I'd also like to note that it's not just the poor who commit crime. The middle class commites relatively little crime, but the upper class comits a great deal of it. Not that we see any of them in jail. No wonder though, they make the rules.

I'd like to re-emphasize that poor should be illegal and should be punished by death too... all they do is look bad and make property value go down. Nobody likes the poor so they should all be euthanized.... including the fat and ugly girls. Good way to do it is to put a sign up at a Chinese All U Can Eat Buffet Restaurant for FREE and then like put poison in the Deep Fried Pork. All the poor and Fat and Ugly girls will become extinct.

wait a minute... I think I've been on Newgrounds too long... I find myself getting dumber and dumberer.

If there was no tolerance for crime, we'd all be dead.

The death penalty is supposed to be used for deterrence, and if this is true, why is anyone on death row?

The people don't need to be scared, they need to be educated.

But what if you dont think it's a crime? I don't regard smoking ajoint as much of a crime, but under your regime, i'd be dead.
