never hunted (yet) but its definitely not a punishment as long as it's done correctly

Neither, at least not anymore.
I applaud people who eat what they kill, that just makes sense. But where I live hunting is heavily regulated as to not put the wildlife population in danger. But also to keep them from growing too big.
Do you find it wrong when a lion wraps his jaws around its preys neck to slowly suffocate and kill it, then eat it all yum-tastic-like?
Lions are trying to extinct the animal race!
I don't see a problem unless you're one of those assholes who just get the head mounted and have the taxidermist toss away the rest. Like when I do it I usually take some meat and give the rest to people.

same here
It's totally natural for humans to want to eat, now, isn't it?
Science and Math Club ... Typical Friday night, right? ... Don't follow me.
If My Sharona isn't prime lovemaking music, then I don't know what love is.
Humans killing for fun is pretty fucked up.
I'm fine with people hunting if they need to and then using that animal for food, clothing, etc. But most of the time its just done by people who enjoy legal murder who don't even need to use the animal.
The sig that I'm wearin? Awesomely made by Skaren!

I don't really care about hunting, if they do it for the food, then I have no problem.
What a shame, Mister Jensen.
I never asked for this, Mister Denton.

Really now? I thought the Gatherers became shoppers and the Hunters became unnecessary. But perhaps I'm living in some weird world where people have these things called stores and live in houses.

I don't find it wrong...but at the same time...I don't find it right. I dunno, I am kinda neutral with this. Since I have never witnessed hunting or went hunting myself. But then I again...I really love animals, so I might find it wrong.
Well, look at nature, animals eat other animals.
The redesign happened, now my signature doesn't match anymore.
The only hunting I dislike is illegal hunting.
However, if it's to maintain population then I'm not against it. And, if it is for food purposes, then I don't mind it.
Respect, it's what I do...Then again, so is UberCream's job.

I don't think 'most hunters' kill for fun. Well, hunting if fun, but it's not as if you are burning the poor creature alive. It's a sport, it's supposed to be fun, but there must be sportsmanship like wise.

They don't do it out of necessity, they do it because they enjoy it. I know a lot of hunters, and I've been hunting.
I'll agree with you in the sense that most aren't super sadistic. They try to get a clean kill, one shot, nice and quick. Some seriously do things like shooting them in inappropriate places and laughing about it. And some wound them and leave them.

hunting to survive isnt wrong, though it should be a last resort.but those who hunt for sport and mount their heads on walls,ARE EXTREMELY WRONG!!!I HATE THOSE PEOPLE!!!
Why are you even bothering to read this?

I choose Secret Option C: I don't really care.
Ah Apathy, I do love thee
My grandfather is a HUGE hunter. When I wanted to go hunting for the first time he asked me if I could kill a doe in front of her children. I said no, but a couple of months later I went hunting anyway. Pwned 2 squirrels and hit a deer in the left flank.

If you have to kill an animal for food or for warmth, then I understand hunting. But I guess it's NG's opinion on what this town near me wants to do with hunting.

I see what you mean, and I meant to say hunters do hunt for fun , because with things like fast food, how could it be necessary? I fish often myself, and if you asked me why: it's because the sport itself is fun, but I mean it's not the actual gutting of the fish that puts me on...See?
If you ever actually hunted, You'd know how fun it is just to grab a rifle or a shotgun and blow an animals brains all over the ground, then cutting them open and taking all there organs out of there body.
i acn clarift this for ya, without hunting, the population of most species would ingrease raplidy, and the habitat would be strained to full use, and most if not all animals there would die and as a resuly, about 15% of all animal species could die in about 1-2 years. adn i'm serious. but i do think that a long death for the animals is very cruel. you bring up a good point though.
I just think you shouldn't hunt endangered species.

Shut up you have no idea what you are talking about troll.
We as humans have killed many of the natural predators of deer, because we see them as a threat. So hunting is necessary to keep the populations down so they don't over graze the grass and die of starvation. I have been hunting and I took a shot at a deer, it took one step and dropped dead in a split second. A bullet is much faster and humane then letting an animal over populate and starve to death.

I'm no troll And yes I do know what I'm talking about.
In this day and age, it's a sport, and nothing else. No one who has internet access enough to view this post NEEDS to hunt.
Personally, I find it extremely boring, and I'm not big on killing stuff anyway. I've done it a few times, and it's just not for me.

How exactly do you think meat and fish get inside our supermarkets? Sure the methods of hunting and gathering have changed but you still kill animals to eat, it's just done through a 3rd party. Though, if you want to do it the natural way you can go hunt the animal yourself :D
