For no reason..

Well today i was sitting in the car and listening to my iPod and for no complete reason one of my earphones broke (no sound coming through it) i wasnt even moving so it couldnt have been me.. Then around 5 minutes later the other earphone broke. i was like WTF? is this a way of the earphone gods torturing me?
