Is there anyone out there who has enough sense to pay attention? I mean seriously, there is some seriously crazy stuff goin on all around us, right in our faces and yet everyone views this as okay? I ditched all of the people I associate with for the simple fact that they choose not to do anything about whats going on, and I view that as weak. You can't really deny that the world's got a lot of problems.
But not everyone has to go out and protest, or write a book, or teach, or go to a third world country and become a doctor. Some people just do their own small things. Every little bit helps, so unless they're completely backward and destructive, I don't see why you would just ditch your friends.
That's just promoting selfishness and closed mindedness, man.
