Have you seen these? They fill the entire video, and there is no way to stop them.
Plus nobody checks the volume, meaning that they basically blast your ears out.

What ads that run before the video? I've only noticed ads that appear to occupy the bottom of the screen, but nothing larger, like covering the whole screen.

on some video ive seen they run ads ive seen ads for the movie orphan,the mens warehouse, and even scientology it runs before the video plays

You still get unlimited content for free. People have no idea how useful ads can be to any business. All you need to do is ignore something for 30 seconds. It's not hard. Get over it. It's either they run ads, or you need to pay for the site, and you can lie and say you'd pay for YouTube all you'd like, but the site would die right out if people needed to pay for it.

yes they are annoying and you think they could find a better way but they are struggling and need the money so turning youtube into TV with commercials and shit is what they must have found necessary to keep the site running

I have a chronic inability to ignore TV ads, but even so I never remember any ads after I watch them.
Internet ads are easy to ignore because they are so small (usually).
