I've been noticing this a lot recently, I don't know why. I wonder how some people find the threads in the first place.

I want this thread to die out and then bump it to produce irony and humor.

Seriosuly the dates are stamped right next to the thread name, it doesn't take much to glance over and check the date.

I really don't feel like its a conscience thing, you have probably either formed a habit to look at it or you haven't. For instance, if it doesn't have "---- ago" written under it, I don't take note. Generally the thread date is going to be irrelevant as to how you respond, unless of course something catches your attention such as the Michael Jackson topic, not about his death.

I'm not really trying to argue, just saying its a really easy mistake to make.

Except if some new info is introduced right?

If the informaiton posted in a thread is new and relevant to the discussion then you posting under the rules is fine, but for the msot part bumps do not come under this classification.

Its served its puprose anyway. Not likely to make that much more of an impact.
