origami star 2009-08-02 16:23:36

hi everybody i'm back and i made a huge star out of origami. it is a lot bigger than it looks and took 45 pieces of paper and a little under a week to complete. what do you think?

i personally like origami and know how hard it is, so well donemust have took a while but dont make a thread for one picture, post it in the origami thread if there is one or make an origami thread

the hard parts of this actually were the beginning and end because it is modular and they have to be linked together, so as it progresses, it gets easier until it gets to the end where you have very limited space to work with. overall, it was not a very hard project, just monotanous

Little tip for those large spike stars is to use different coloured papers, really livens it up a bit.

Here's another kind of star you can make easily with one sheet of paper, they fly pretty well if you want to throw them.

The star you made looks awesome though. Not really sure why it takes 45 pieces of paper

hehe, I covered mine in gaffa tape, makes them look metallic and they get more weight.

ok its supposed to be a lizard or dragons head, it would look better with details, or if i hadnt ruined the nose lol
