Yes, Gore is pretty much a dead topic, however, I'm wondering what you all thought of the man, pros and cons. I'm just wondering what you people think of him and why or why not he should be president right now (as in, should we get rid of the electoral college)?

What most people don't realize is that he had less education than our current president, even though he had the ability to make people laugh (occaisionally).
If anyone wants to flame me for pointing out Gore's level of education, let me point this out; He has often said he went to 3 different colleges, has he ever say what degree he got at said colleges?
I think that's scary because he was not only a senator, but Vice President. Had something happened to Clinton during his time in the Oral office, we would have wound up with Gore in Charge.

He can't be THAT dumb, though. He is a college professor and former journalist, so he has to be pretty smart. Normally those professions don't have advisors that "help" make decisions or write speaches.

How so?
If you mean by amount of time spent in learning institutions than that might be true. Although even if that is true, that doesnt mean hes more intelligent than Gore, than thats just plain wrong.
I dont wish to go over everything here, but keep in mind that Bush's grades were bad enough that he had to have his daddy put him in the Texas Air National Guard so that he wouldn't be drafted.
Gore went voluntarily against his fathers will as a reporter. Might not be as impressive as being in combat, but its definitely better than sitting in Texas keeping the VC out of the southwest.
By the way, bush didnt even show up for a year that he was "serving" in the air guard. he was too busy snorting coke and drinking.

I do love a challenge. But alas, I could not find much on Bush's qualifications, due to the democratically controlled media trying to make him look bad, other than this little tidbit from George W. Bush, Jr. - The Darks Side:
George Bush likes to present himself as a straight-talking, regular guy. But it's an act -- regular guys don't go to Andover Prep, Yale and Harvard Business School, and straight-talking guys don't pretend to be regular guys after growing up in one of the most privileged homes in world history.
Oh, and then there was this little tidbit from the site namedGore's Qualifications:
Bush went on to earn an MBA from Harvard

I have gone to univeristy and can tell you that there are many professors that are as stupid as a rock. Journalists don't have to smart either. All they need to do is write well. English majors might be good in english but can be very stupid in the rest of know education.

His wife.
Well, that's Jello Biafra's take on him not acing the Election. As well as running attack ads on Nader instead of promoting himself in States he narrowly lost, and the usual Bush yadda yadda yadda...

Yeah, because the Greens are so close to getting into 1600 Pensylvannia Avenue...
