I don't have Flash anymore!

The backup for some reason did not save the program when my computer had to restart, so now its gone forever. (But everything I was working on is still there, kind of defeats the purpose.) Since I can't find a decent Flash player anymore I guess Flash® CS4 Professional is the closest thing, right? But this is one of the things the ask you for a free 30 day trial.

What is this bullshit? Its like you need to be the owner of a multi-million dollar company to use Flash now. I never remembered Flash was this serious and important, and speaking of which, I never had to make an account OR give information on a trial of Flash. TRIAL. And I doubt many of you had to deal with this either. If they want information that I can't give and they don't have the old program I need to finish does that mean I can't use Flash again and I can't get another one?!?

Why cant you just make some shit up? If you had put all the effort that you used to post in the forum to answer those questions you could of had flash running by now. And if you click read the options they have on the click down menu I'm pretty sure youd be able to answer. Try, 1 to w/e, flash developer, ect. ect. ect. its not that hard. I did it.. more than once.

Flash was always a commercial product, so you pirated your previous copy. I don't like that, and I hate your lazy attitude. You must not put a lot of effort into your Flash work. Oh, wait, you pirated it the first time, so you probably don't even understand AS3.

They've always had the poll for the tiral version. You got a bootleg version, and didn't have to go through all of that. It's not really a big deal either, they're just wanting to know who purchases their products, nothing to get too worked up about...

I got it off the official site. And it's not that I don't remember the poll, I don't remember them asking this, atleast I don't remember. I don't know who I am anymore!!!

Just to let you know, Flash CS4 is actually pretty awful..

The entire layout has changed, making the programme 10 x harder to navigate if you're used to the old layout.

Tweening has also been murdered.. It's a real chore to do anything with it, you can't cut and paste sections of a tween anymore, and the motion guide layer is ALWAYS there, you can't get rid of it, it's a real pain.

My advice

Stick to Flash 8 or CS3, I currently use 8 and probably won't update for a good long while.

No, you can change the layout to how you want. I've got it pretty much as close to the original Flash 8 as it can get. You can still do classic tweens if you wish but the new motion tween editor gives alot of potential to flash developers.

Stick to Flash 8 or CS3, I currently use 8 and probably won't update for a good long while.

Thats the problem, I lost Flash 8 and they don't offer trial downloads anymore.
