He can be both.

Also we get to see other abducted people. Possibly Elvis and an American president.

This DLC is bullshit. It has nothing to do with Fallout. Hooray for Bethesda for turning an easter egg into canon.

I don't see how aliens and samurais in space could hurt a franchise in any way...

And DLC is optional.

This is just getting me more hyped for the game.

And by the way, why do the Aliens have to remain just an easter egg? Its not like its anymore ridiculous than super mutants, ghouls, talking mole rats, talking spore plants, an intelligent radscorpion, Crazy homicidal presidents that want to destroy the survivors of the war that aren't part of the Enclave despite the mutations being relatively benign and the people (except the Shi) are technically citizens of America, The Vault Experiment and its use of people that could have been used to repopulate America for stupid social experiments instead, etc.

Tell me exactly how aliens are any more ridiculous than what I just typed.

TL;DR: There's a lot of crazy shit in the Fallout universe, Aliens isn't that stupid of a idea.

Now instead of just shoving the ritual knife from point look out into aliens, it can go into samurais and cowboys.

I also tried it against a behemoth. it took about 20 minutes but it worked.

Play the first two fallouts, they were chaulk full of ridiculous shit.

Fallout 3 is actually more realistic compared to the first two.

To all those saying that Fallout has lots of crazy shit, so aliens are okay: that's like saying a gay sex minigame where you have to engage in button mashing to fuck a man up the asshole could be put into Mario, because hey, Mario has lot's of crazy shit.

And since when have aliens been canon in FO? Where do people even get that argument? They were an Easter Egg in FO1, and a super hard to find location in FO3 (don't remember about FO2, but even if it did have aliens, it wouldn't matter, since FO2 seriously screwed the pooch as far as a coherent setting goes).

Aliens were just a little joke that Bethesda is taking too far. Next up: TARDIS DLC!

I did play them to death! The crashed spaceship and all was just a non-canon easter egg. But assuming everything is canon then I can say that e.g. the Chosen One caused the events of Fallout 1 by going back in time.

If Bethesda keeps pulling this stupid shit, I'll be pretty sad it didn't die.

Let's hope New Vegas is less retarded, since Obsidian is composed of people from Black Isle.

Well, you find a crashed alien ship in Fallout, you get an alien gun in Fallout, you get an alien gun in Fallout 2, then in Fallout 3 you find another crashed ship, and a couple more alien guns.

The fact that all three games included alien weapons tells you something about the canon status of aliens in Fallout, the fact that two of the three games included crashed spaceships tells you even more.

Aliens are part of the Fallout universe, deal with it.

That's probably the most mature thing to do. Each to their own.

Enjoy Oblivion in space.

The thing is, I probably will. It is a bit silly, but for me it won't take anything from the game experience. Oblivion and Fallout 3 are remarkable games regardless of the many flaws people find, and new content is usually a good thing.

Having said that I must confess I haven't even played any of it yet, as I haven't even found the time to finish Fallout.

Seriously though, I would love for you to explain why you think aliens are non-canon to Fallout given that they've appeared multiple times, I don't see it personally, but you seem to be unwilling to make any attempt at convincing me or discussing it.

Here's my point of view on the matter, laid out simply.

Aliens were in Fallout.

Aliens were in Fallout 2.

Aliens were in Fallout 3.

Given that they've been in every Fallout game that I've played (never played Tactics, lol) it seems like they must be canon, otherwise why would they have been included beyond the original game?
