its the fact that it is the end of your own existence, although when you die you might not know it, it is just the thought that is scary. And besides what if there is more to death than just what these hardcore muthafuckas say, maybe instead of rotting in the ground, your mind goes batshit crazy and stuff. I have never been afraid of death, I have religious beliefs as to what happens once I am deceased, and I look forward to that time. I am also afraid of life, rather than death. Anything can happen in life, and you are there to experience, once you are gone, it is the end forever, and you have no worries there on out.
