Quentin Tarintino's new film is hitting the cinema in the next couple of days for the UK, but before it's released I was wondering if it's worth seeing. If anyone has seen it yet, what is your opinion of it?

I'm gonna see it regardless of reviews or whatnot, apparantly it's best to go in:
1) Not assuming it's JUST about the basterds
2) Not assuming it's 100% action and violence.

QT is the man.

So they made me their chief...which was nice.

That's a war movie isn't it? It reminded me of Saving Private Ryan but without the soppy-ness. I might have to watch it sometime.

It doesn't look amazing and i've heard it's got mixed reviews. But then again, it's Tarantino.

QT is the man.

Aye, I read that in the interview Q Magazine had with Quentin - he said he's trying to make it like Reservoir Dogs where it is all based from an incident that you never see. Can't wait to see it, I love how the man works.

The name isn't exactly a problem, anyways. The film that inspired this was called Inglorious Bastards, and that was released in the '70s where the decade was full of things that they people weren't ready for.

He has a brilliant way of crafting a story, the chapter order in Kill Bill was so anti-commercial it was akin to foreign cinema somewhat.
I'm looking forward to seeing Daniel Bruhl's scenes as the propaganda increasing nazi actor.

I could have sworn the release date was the 21st August, and IMDB certainly says it is...

But anyway, I'm looking forward to it. I've seen a mixture of reviews, but then I often enjoy films that have received poor reviews so that certainly won't be putting me off.

Whoops, sorry about that. I'm just rather enthusiastic about this film.

I'm a bit like that myself - I enjoyed the Grindhouse Project which flopped like crazy. I guess you just have to make up your own opinion of these things at the end of the day.

Not big on QT personally, but there's something about this movie that says to me "This film's going to be worth 8 dollars."

I am not a fan of QT movies, I think they are greatly over rated.
I probably will see this movie, as I watch basically every now movie, however I would not dream of paying to see it.

I have an Inglorious Bastards poster haha. Although, I've still yet to have seen the movie. *sigh* there's so much I need to see.

On the brightside, it's a Tarantino movie so you know the direction is going to be amazing. I've also heard mixed reviews about the plot and everything else about it. Seeing how very few good movies have came out recently, I don't think this is one of those movies I'm going to skip just because of the diluted reviews.

I saw it yesterday at the world premiere (after Cannes) at the Fantasia film festival in Montreal.

Loved it. Not going to tell you anything about it except Eli Roth and Brad Pitt were excellent.
