Jail breaking was just made because of apple's policies of deliberate obsolescence. They intentionally design the drivers to make the phone worse than the hardware is capable of so that people will be forced to buy the next generations. Apple does the same thing with their shitty iPods and shittier operating systems.

It's an iphone, not a newer version of the "blue-box". They want to make it illegal. I personally don't have one, but i'd like to actually use my hardware to its capacity rather than getting a new one every month.
