Tell us of movies or shows filmed in your city or county. Living in Savannah a lot of Forrest Gump was filmed in my city and the rest of my county, also some in the near city of Beaufort. Even the Vietnam scenes were filmed in my area. Also, sadly, Hannah montana just filmed a movie down here called 'The Last Song'
let's hope it is the last song
Please disregard all of my pre-2013 posts. I was young and borderline retarded.

Parts of Braveheart were filmed a few minutes up the road from me.The big wall they built for that awful movie King Arthur was in the same place. We used to go in and steal stuff from it.I still have spears and big fake rocks from it.
A Guinness ad was filmed in the village as well.

The only one i can think of is that some of the movie Matti, based on the worlds best ski jumper Matti Nykänen was filmed in this area. They almost show my house in the trailer for the movie.

I don't know about filming but my town has been mentioned in a few things;
"References to Tunbridge Wells occur in literature as diverse as Arthur Conan Doyle's The Valley of Fear, Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow, Philip Reeve's Mortal Engines, E. M. Forster's A Room With A View, Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest and Zadie Smith's White Teeth.
David Lean's epic film Lawrence of Arabia closes with Mr. Dryden answering King Feisal: "Me, your Highness? On the whole, I wish I'd stayed in Tunbridge Wells", and in the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service Tracy Di Vicenzo says to Bond that she "looks forward to living as Mr and Mrs James Bond of Acacia Avenue, Tunbridge Wells". Less well known is H. G. Wells' sending up of "Tumbridge Wells" in his 1925 book Christina Alberta's Father.[40]
In Spitting Image, when Britain enters a revolution, Royal Tunbridge Wells declares independence under the slogan of 'liberty, equality, gardening'."
Also Russell Howard on Mock The Week once mentioned Tunbridge Wells, saying our gangs would include badgers and owls ^_^ Something mocking about it, it was great.

I'd be surprised if there was any filmed in my exact city, but there has been a lot of films filmed just down the road in Brighton like Quadraphenia.
This too will pass.

My towns hospital was mentioned In torchwood, whether it was filmed there I'm not sure
"Im a medic not a doctor."
"Whats the difference?"
"Doctors heal people... Medics make you more comfortable.... While you die."
I live in between two towns really, because they've grown to a level where they overlap each other in certain areas. Warwick's the older one (although apparently not according to some sources, but that's good old historical controversy for you) and since it has a decent amount of older buildings, it's been used a few times for those historically-set dramas. None of them are really note-worthy, but Wikipedia lists: an episode of the new Doctor Who, Dangerfield (that I remember being filmed), one of the many versions of Pride And Prejudice, the early '60s film Tom Jones and a TV version of Moll Flanders. Warwick has a history of its own, but being close to Stratford it gets a lot of the Shakespeare vibe. That sometimes influences what's being filmed or whatever directly.
The other town, Leamington Spa, is slightly more modern. It made its name in the Georgian era, so that speaks for itself. The sitcom Keeping Up Appearances had some filming around here apparently... and so did ChuckleVision.
All of those familiar are now singing the ChuckleVision theme to themselves.

I live in South East England so pretty much no decent movies have ever been made there. The most famous one close to me would probably be some of "The Other Boleyn Girl" was filmed at Dover Castle, which is pretty near to me.

I hardly know any movies or shows filmed in the Wirral (besides what I read on Wikipedia, but I wasn't familiar with any of those shows/movies). Most of the attention around this area is focused on Liverpool, so the Peninsula can be easily overlooked in terms of film-making and recognition.

Well, Chewin' the Fat and Still Game - (They're really good Scottish programs), are filmed a few miles away from where I live.
Another program about property development was filmed just across the water.

Dude, Quadrophenia. The ending, and most memorable scene, takes place in Dover.

Some of the car chase scenes in Indiana Jones 4 were filmed on rt. 34 in Connecticut just 2 miles way from the house I grew up in. It shames me to have this connection with that god awful movie.

"Shooter" had a scene that was labeled as Lynchburg, VA. It was just trees. So it really wasn't Lynchburg, lol.

I lived in Chicago when they were filming the Dark Knight. They were filming the scene with the helicopter crash on a street I passed by every weekend to the Metra station.
Also, there was a straight to DVD feature with Larry the Cable Guy that was filmed in Plano, which is the town east of where I live.
Yeah, no one saw it or cared.
