I'm sure it's awesome for Dan to see his own artistic creation tattooed on somebody's arm, but it doesn't change the fact that it's very stupid, actually. I'm not bashing the tattoo, it looks fantastic. Dead on, very clean, looks great. I just think it's dumb. I don't think anybody should take the risk in getting a tattoo unless it's something very meaningful to them (death date of somebody close, meaningful message, etc) but to get a tattoo of a video game, something you'll outgrow in 5 years max, that's just dumb, and I rarely ever say that to someone without sounding fair, but in my opinion I really just feel this is stupid. Very childish thing to do. Sorry dude. What a waste...
Sorry, but this means a lot more to me than "lol cool video game!". Dan Paladin was one of my bigger influences as a kid when I wanted to animate. I loved his style. I tried to emulate it with some of my work, but I never figured out how he did it so well.
The game itself was also a huge accomplishment for Tom and Dan. Their own originality in creating an independent game was a groundbreaking thing in my eyes, and I really appreciate that dedication.
On top of all that, Newgrounds basically raised me. Yeah, it's fucking lame, but spending the majority of my time here posting, and animating, and learning, it really did. It shaped who I am as an individual and inspired a lot of what I do. I use Newgrounds as an outlet for my creativity, and so this symbol reminds me of all these things. It's really something I wanted to have for 2 years now.
Whether I grow out of Newgrounds or not, I'll have this meaningful piece of my past with me for the rest of my life.

The good thing about tattoos is that you are stuck with them for life. Especially ones in a stupid place like the forearm. Enjoy wearing long sleeves at any decent job for the rest of your life.
Yeah, darn, I really should have thought about that. I fully intended to wear an AC/DC tanktop and cutoff jeans in the biochemical or biomedical field. Fuck, now I regret this.
