Well, yeah, of course. The main objective was the WMD, not Saddam. He was like an added bonus. However, since nothing sufficient was found, we got pissed. The Saddam thing was to cover their backs when we came to the "Oh, I guess they REALLY didn't have them... oh... we got Saddam!" Which worked... kinda... Nobody forgot about the weapons. But, I think to do anything over there, The U.S. needed to say something big (i.e. WMD) to get less trouble from the U.N. along with the rest of the world.

Actually, mrpop. I would't at all. I still think the Bush Administration were in it for the oil. I just reset my PC, and I lost a load of links about the amount of oil and the worth of it that they've managed to pump out of Iraq, Directly linked with the amount of food and water the average Iraqui has.

So, no. I wouldn't have supported the war on the grounds that the Bush Administration were blatantly speaking out of their arses, in my opinion.

Yeah, I agree with that. Look, we all know that the US went in there to get the oil, but if they used as an excuse getting rid of Saddam rather than the the total b.s. called WMD, they wouldv'e gotten some extra points in my belief. Not that I would support it anyways.

If the U.S.A. really wanted to change Iraq arbitrarily and not just mooch off resources, they would just assasinate the leader or important people like they did to russia. There arent that many doubles.
