I think Newgrounds needs a video portal You should be able to submit .wmv videos

That's a terrible idea. People would start submitting videos they didn't make or slideshows and youtube poops. In fact people do that already but they convert them from .wmv to .swf to be able to submit it.

When you upload a video to youtube, it converts it to swf. You can just convert it yourself and then upload it to youtube. Others have done it.
The only thing is that the filesize limit is 10MB, and video increases the filesize tremendously.

Yes. I agree that is a horrible idea. The internet really doesn't need another Youtube. I know it doesn't get many of them, but this place is meant for original and creative animations, music, and art. Youtube is meant for people that enjoy filming themselves. Still, people tend to post videos here on Newgrounds anyways. Most of the time that crap gets blammed though.

I understand that it might be hard to convert videos to swf without them turning to complete crap, but this is Newgrounds. What you want is YouTube. Go post whatever it is you're suggesting this for there.

Why you ask ? Because even youtube is having problems with the bandwidth space.
Swf files are limmited to 10 MB
the videos i make and the videos that people usualy make are minimum 20 mb Videos dont really require much skill so alot more people would be posting crap.
Before you know it NG would be bankrupt.
