I would be completely against her if I were on a jury. That's my point though, she didnt get that opportunity to be punished. Like I said earlier, there are no innocents in this story. I think she should be in juvie for beating her mother and the sending of pics but I also think that the officer should be punished for excessive force.

Also, everyone asking "how can a 14 year old girl outrun a cop," here is your answer: The cop was probably in his 30s - 50s, and therefore not at his physical peak. The girl, meanwhile, is young, limber, and reaching her prime. Teens and children can run pretty fucking fast when they have to. Besides, look at her; she's pretty in shape.

So he should have used a real gun?

The scar isn't from the taser. Tasers have a tiny little pinprick of an entrypoint (since they're little electric needles). That scar is from the surgical entry into her skull/brain.

Okay that's fair enough. But you also have to make it a point to know that the cop didn't intentionally aim it at her head. Only one of the prongs was in her head, the other was in her back. You can't be too sure with those things, so aiming it at her head isn't a valid excuse, he was just aiming at her.

The thing is though: Epilepsy is a CAUSE of seizures. It's not something that makes a seizure worse than it already is, it's just a cause.

No, this is not a reason for the officer to be charged, or fired.

That doesn't make any sense. If she was running at him, he wouldn't need to use the taser, because he could restrain her pretty easily. The only reason he used it was because he was running away and didn't want to let her get away (I assume).

Its my understanding that the mother called the police because the daughter ran away and she need help finding her. The hitting her wasnt the main cause (or so i understand)

The taser should have never been used in the first place. The whole point of it is if the assailant is armed or too strong for the officer to handle.
