"And must we do as we're tooooooooold!"
I liked that song.
I kept up with the whole "treasure hunt" in the site, listening to every single new bit they released from the song, all the ending drama (when the girl didn't want to activate the last piece), the radio broadcast from Zane Lowe... I think it was worth it. Sure, United States of Eurasia sounds like Queen (reminds me a lot of Bohemian Rhapsody, actually), but it's no rip-off. It isn't my favourite song from them, though. I'd still rather stuff like "Plug In, Baby", "Hysteria" and "Map Of The Problematique", but it's still enjoyable.
What was pretty interesting in that song was the ending, "Collateral Damage". It's a Chopin piece (this one), and it was pretty well interpreted by Matthew Bellamy. The children screaming and the airplane in the ending made it a little more dramatic, IMO.
Also, there's a bit of the new single (Uprising) available here, which was also played on Zane Lowe's broadcast. It's different from USoE, especially with that "space-ish" intro. Well, it's only a little bit of the song, so we can't take early conclusions.
I'm anxious for this album. It will only come out September 14th (I think), and they'll do a performance at the VMAs with Uprising, probably. So there's still a lot of time left until the album comes out. They will probably do another thing in their site, considering they are a bit crazy. =P
